'YOUTH' BREAK THE GUINNESS WORLD RECORD!

In celebration of the United Nations International Year of Youth and International Youth day, on the 12th of August 2011, the Sri Lankan Team of  British Council’s Global Changemakers together with 1500 Youth from Sri Lanka broke a Guinness World Record. The attempt was to break the World Record for 'The Largest Human Mosaic' with 1500 youth participants from across the country forming the word YOUTH on the ground by standing together in formation.  Representatives from the Guinness World Records Committee were present to adjudicate the World Record Attempt and an aerial photograph of the final formation was taken.
